Conception begins the second sperm meets the egg, and that very moment when fertilization begins the genetic makeup is complete. That means, the sex of the infant has been chosen, the color of their skin, the color of their eyes, your hair, if you have straight hair, curly hair, if you’ll have freckles and more. The heart begins beating during the fifth week, and the baby’s brain, heart  and organs are beginning to form.

Right now 1/3 of our generation is missing because they have been aborted. I am pro-life and I will probably always be pro-life after the presentation tonight. A woman came in talking about how she had an abortion over 40 years and it was one of the saddest stories ever. Women take up to 8-10 years to BEGIN recovering after an abortion. I have always been pro-life and I will never understand how women say it is “their body” but it is NOT just your body, it is also your baby’s body. I totally agree with what you said Jose, you could in no way compare those things to a living human being. I could never kill something that has a heartbeat, organs, eyes, skin and more and I could never understand how anyone could. For those who say it is because you do not want to raise a child at 15, you are being selfish. To those who say they do not want to give up your child to other people, you are already giving it up.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING RIGHT WITH WHAT YOU POSTED.

“Life beginning at conception” holds a butt load of problematic elements: scientifically and legally. I have already explained it here, here, and here (ctrl +f Life Begins at Conception for the longer entries). I’m URGING YOU TO READ THESE so you can see just how absurd that concept is.

Having a heart beat isn’t a big accomplishment, this microscopic mite has a heart beat. When a human person dies we cite their personality, their mind, how amazing they were- even if that human person is an infant. During a funeral people NEVER DISCUSS how a person looks, or the fact that they had a heart beat. The pastor will not get up and say “Oh, Mister Johnson was a great man because of his blue eyes and dark skin and brown hair”, he will always say something about this mind. Human people are coveted for their thoughts and awareness, not for their genetic make up. Why am I making a deal out of this? Because a fetus isn’t capable of higher thought (and feeling pain) until past twenty-four weeks, an American studies they may never be capable until after birth (or twenty-eight weeks, the earliest).

Right now 1/3 of our generation is missing because they have been aborted.

How much of our generation isn’t here because their parents didn’t happen to have sex when they could have been conceived? Because their parent’s ovum (egg) cell chose another sperm cell, or because another sperm cell made it to the egg faster? Because their parent miscarried them, or they maybe they could have been born if a previous pregnancy had been miscarried? Because their parent chose to wear a condom that night or was on the pill, got the shot, a diaphragm cap, etc.?Because their parents chose to go out dancing instead? Because two people just plain ‘ol never met and got married? There are a million and one things that could have resulted in people in our generation not existing, abortion is just ONE. By this logic we should outlaw everything that isn’t having sex, and make sure every sperm cell ever gets accepted by every ovum cell ever to insure that every person who could ever exist does. There also needs to be a way to make sure every egg implants and no one ever miscarries because these are people that could exist! Do you see just how ridiculous it is to quote a statistic like that?

Women take up to 8-10 years to BEGIN recovering after an abortion.

This is so false it HURTS. Post Abortion Stress Syndrome doesn’t exist. There’s absolutely not proof of it’s existence. The APA doesn’t think so [PDF]. The Guttmacher Institute doesn’t think so. Psychology Today doesn’t think so. The Archives of General Psychiatry don’t think so. Oregon State University doesn’t think so. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders doesn’t recognize it on it’s list of mental disorders. The Johns Hopkins University doesn’t think so. There isn’t one reputable unbiased institution that will support it’s existence. The feeling most women feel after having an abortion? RELIEF. Here are stories from other women who were RELIEVED after their abortion. Read them, see how abortion helped them and their family. People do not often feel regret or sadness after abortion, it comes from outside sources. From people like you telling them they’re murderers, that their choice was wrong.

I will never understand how women say it is “their body” but it is NOT just your body, it is also your baby’s body.

Most abortions- over 60%- are done while that “baby” is still an embryo. IT DOESN’T HAVE A BODY. Even if a fetus did have a full body NO OTHER HUMAN BEING HAS THE RIGHT TO ANOTHER HUMAN BEING’S BODY WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. If I were dieing of kidney failure right now and needed a kidney in order to stay alive I could not TAKE a kidney, not even from my own mother. There are born children who are in need of bone marrow transplants and blood transfusions, they cannot take these things in order to keep themselves alive. A fetus cannot take over my body without my consent, even though it needs it to live.
And before you say it “consenting to sex is not consenting to a pregnancy. Knowing something COULD happen as a result of you doing that action does not mean you are consenting to that act.” I know that by exposing myself to sunlight, I run the risk of getting skin cancer, this doesn’t mean I’m consenting to it and will be denied treatment because of my choice.

I could never kill something that has a heartbeat, organs, eyes, skin and more and I could never understand how anyone could.

So you’re vegan right? You also don’t wear leather or fur or sheep skin; or jewelry made from bone, antlers, animal horns, and/or feathers; or use ANY products that are tested on animals?

For those who say it is because you do not want to raise a child at 15, you are being selfish.

You don’t seem to know much about the women who get abortions. Most of them have children, the majority are in their twenties, and the majority are poor. Over 42 million Americans don’t have health insurance, and pregnancy out of pocket cost an average of $16,000- that’s for a normal vaginal delivery without pain killers or an ambulance right. Not to mention the cost keeps going up if you keep the baby- most people spend over $400 a year on disposable diapers alone.
I also think you don’t understand the world selfish. Do you actively go out and help all these poor women who are having babies because they’re being pressured by their families, or an abusive partner? If not that’s selfish! Are you donating blood so someone- normally a stranger- else can live? If not that’s selfish! Being able to do something never means you have to do it.

To those who say they do not want to give up your child to other people, you are already giving it up.

I think it’s really fucking hilarious that you claim to care about the emotional state of a woman who has an abortion but don’t take into consideration at all the emotional state of a parent who puts their child up for adoption, or the people who adopt that child.

Be pro-life, fine, but kindly don’t go spreading your ignorant bullshit throughout cyber space.

Reblogging for MAD FACTS from Ninapedia.

DAMN, that was an EXCELLENT takedown.

And they are not “pro life.” They are “anti choice” because basically, people shouldn’t have any right to own their own body, amirite?

I am pro choice, therefore I am pro life because 70,000 people die each year of unsafe abortions. By wanting to have abortion legal and safe, I am saving the lives of actual people. I am not going to sit here and argue for the rights of a collection of cells sitting inside someone’s body. Why people value the worth of a technical parasite over an autonomous human being is beyond me.

»> THANKYOU for such an awesome rebuttal of those pathetic arguments.  That “you’ll always regret your abortion, you’ll get depression, we care about you lulz” argument pisses me off the most.   I THANK GOD FOR ABORTION DOCTORS EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE.  I fell pregnant at 18 and then again at 20 and I was FAR TOO YOUNG to be a good mother.  I regret neither abortion, in fact I feel nothing but relief that safe termination was available to me.  Both preg’s were nipped in the bud very early, as early as the clinic would do them at 7 weeks along (that’s only 5 weeks gestation).  I only ever even REMEMBER I had abortions when people bring the issue up.

this is the crux of the issue to me.
They claim to be “christians”, but Jesus the man was all about love.
This is the different between the christianity that’s about Jesus and his teachings and the “christianity” that’s about the fuckwit Paul and what he twisted Jesus’ words into.
